For many of us, our pets are part of our family. They are our companions and friends, and we want to make their lives as comfortable as possible. Read on to find out why many pet owners are considering the use of CBD (aka Hemp) oil for their precious furry family members.
pet pain and pet stress
As pets age, they often encounter myriad physical health issues, such as inflammation or heart problems. Some pets suffer from seizures and epilepsy. And sometimes, pets will experience stress and anxiety. These conditions and ailments can be extremely detrimental to the lives of pets, and often can be very costly to alleviate. Many pet owners are experimenting with natural, homeopathic remedies and supplements in attempts to ease the suffering and stress of their pets’ experience, so they don’t need to spend money on expensive medical treatments or worry about side effects from strong medications. And one of those natural supplements? You guessed it—CBD oil for pets!
Why hemp oil for pets?
Hemp has been grown for a variety of uses for hundreds of years. Functional Remedies’ president, Tim Gordon, has spent decades perfecting a process for getting the most out of the hemp plant. Our hemp oil is sustainably grown, isn’t from GMOs, and we use the whole plant in manufacturing our products. Our lipid infusion process means our hemp oil has no extraction contaminants and is phytonutrient rich. We ensure the utmost quality of our products with multiple tests throughout the production process—our hemp oil is safe for animal use!
No-fuss use for fuzzy friends
Giving pets medicines and supplements can often be a huge hassle. With our hemp oil tincture, you won’t need to worry about trying to get your pet to take a pill or sneaking medicine into their diet. The tincture can be directly applied to the neck or paws of your pet, where it will be absorbed into their skin. Giving your pet doses of hemp oil is easy for you, and painless for your pet!
But will hemp oil get pets high?
No! Just like humans who use hemp oil, using hemp oil for pets will not affect their cognitive functions or reaction times. Though both marijuana and hemp oil comes from cannabis, hemp oil only contains trace amounts of THC (less than .3%). This is completely unlike marijuana-based products, which often have effects on the user’s psychoactive state. That means hemp oil has no psychotropic effects whatsoever and can be given to your pet without it impairing their normal life. Not having any substantial amount of THC also means that hemp oil is legal in all fifty states, and it doesn’t require a medical marijuana license, so there’s no need to be concerned about legality when purchasing hemp oil for your pets.
Please be aware that to determine if hemp oil is right for your pet, it is recommended that you begin them with small dosages and closely monitor their progress.
